Wipeout!

Students flip over this sight word game!
(I believe the idea came from Mailbox magazine)

Preparation: Prepare two identical class sets of sight word cards.
Divide students into small groups of equal size. Give each student a word card from the first set and have him/her place it face-up on table in front of himself/herself.
Place the second set of cards in a bag.
To play, remove a card from the bag and read it aloud. The student who has the word flips his/her card over.
Play continues until all members of small group have turned their cards facedown.
They stand and call "Wipeout!"
To win the round, each student reads aloud his/her word for verification.
To play again, have the students exchange word cards and you return your set of cards to the bag.
Play as many additional rounds as desired.
